Cricket Format Explained
To bet on Bangladesh Tigers and international cricket, it is important to have a clear understanding of the different formats.
T20
20 overs per team, typically a 3–4 hour match. Live betting markets are most active in this format. BPL, IPL and the T20 World Cup are all played in this format.
ODI (One-Day)
50 overs per team, a 7–8 hour match. This format covers the ICC World Cup and bilateral series — innings margin and total runs markets are popular.
Test
Up to 5 days, 4 innings. Betting markets include session results, wickets and day points. The preferred format for patient bettors.
The Hundred
A new format from England where each team faces 100 balls. Betting markets in this fast-paced tournament are compact but exciting.
Major Leagues: BPL (Bangladesh), IPL (India), BBL (Australia), PSL (Pakistan) — you can bet on all of them at 9bdb.
Cricket Partnership
Cricket sponsorship is now a familiar trend in Bangladesh's online betting market. Leading platforms are connecting with international cricket in various ways.
Babu88 & Franchise Connections
The Babu88 platform has grown its recognition among Bangladeshi audiences by partnering with the Montreal Tigers and Colombo Strikers franchises. This type of sponsorship plays an effective role in building brand awareness.
Crickex's Regional Presence
Crickex has strengthened its position in the Bangladesh and South Asian markets through regional sponsorships. Connecting with local cricket culture is a core part of their strategy.
Jeetbuzz & Andre Russell
Jeetbuzz has appointed West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell as brand ambassador — a move that has generated considerable interest among Bangladesh's IPL fans.
The information above is presented as context for overall industry trends — not as claims made by 9bdb itself. Bangladeshi cricket-loving bettors who stay aware of these trends will develop a better understanding of the market.
How to Read Odds
Understanding odds is essential to succeeding at betting. With a little attention, it becomes straightforward.
Decimal Odds Example
You place a ৳500 bet at odds of 1.80.
Total return = ৳500 × 1.80 = ৳900
That means profit = ৳900 − ৳500 = ৳400
Implied Probability
Odds of 1.80 means the estimated probability of winning = (1 ÷ 1.80) × 100 ≈ 55.6%. The lower the odds, the higher the winning probability is considered to be.
Comparative Reference
- Fractional (UK): 4/5 means ৳400 profit on a ৳500 bet
- American (+/-): −125 means ৳100 profit when betting ৳125
- 9bdb uses decimal odds — they are the most straightforward to understand.
